Note

No long run this morning but definitely not a rest day. No, it was a day for raking, shovelling, sifting, and hauling 8 tonnes of soil and rocks to turn the ugly, eroded east side of house into something akin to a dry creek bed. I was amazed that with just me, a friend, and Megan we managed to get it all done in a day. Absolutely, totally buggered now. I'm currently managing to lift a beer to my lips and type but I think that will be beyond me tomorrow.

Running 27:00 [3] 4.6 km (5:52 / km) +80m 5:24 / km
shoes: Nike Free 5.0 (grey/green)

I wasn't terribly motivated for this one but I was trying to make the most of my family-free period so pushed myself out. Basically an easy plod up into a short loop in the closer part of the forest and back.

Running 25:00 [3] 4.8 km (5:12 / km) +100m 4:43 / km
shoes: Adidas Supernova Control 9

Got home from a work day at the USC and decided a short run around the 'burbs was in order. Nice and cool running in the dark.

Running 40:00 [3] 7.8 km (5:08 / km) +150m 4:41 / km
shoes: Asics DS Trainer 13

Still taking advantage of being home alone and got out at 6am for a jaunt around the 'burbs. Made my way to the Bielby Rd entrance to where I thought there was a trail that came back past the reservoir but I discovered I was mistaken and had to follow the streets back before climbing straight up under the reservoir and immediately descending again down the trails. Not a bad route all up though. Quads, especially, feeling weary after yesterday evening's run.
