Running long 1:20:00 [4] 12.0 km (6:40 / km) +425m 5:40 / km
shoes: Asics Gel 2100

Got Mick (my father-in-law) to drop me off at the bottom of the Toowoomba range and then ran back up via fire trail and then wandered through town back to home. The fire trail was bloody steep, ascending about 300m in 3km, and I couldn't run all the way. It rained yesterday and the fire trail had turned to clay which formed big, heavy clods on the soles of my shoes. Running through town was nice after the hill and I took a turn around Queens Park and ran up East Creek Park before turning for home. Pretty buggered by the end. Gmap

Running long 1:02:00 [3] 12.2 km (5:05 / km) +225m 4:39 / km
shoes: Asics Gel 2100

Run from the in-laws to Picnic Point which looks east over the edge of the Toowoomba Range; quite a nice view. Legs felt heavy at the start but they improved somewhat. Weather was nice — overcast and about 18 degs, but also quite humid and it sprinkled rain a couple of times. Time doesn't include an 8 min stretch stop at Picnic Point. Gmap

Running tempo 28:48 [4] 6.3 km (4:34 / km) +70m 4:20 / km
shoes: Asics Gel 2100

Quickish jog from Megan's parents' house through a nearby park. Was fairly warm and still not feeling good. Weighed in today at 70.5kg which is a record for me, I'm usually about 66kg. Not sure what the story is. I took a 5min break at the turn around point to stretch which is not included in the total time.
Out: 15:13, 25m climb (4:50/km)
Back: 13:35, 45m climb (4:19/km)

Running tempo 30:00 [3] 6.5 km (4:37 / km) +45m 4:28 / km
shoes: Asics Gel 2100

Run from hotel in Mooloolaba up along the beach through Alexander Headlands to Cotton Tree and back. Felt crappy, still tired after all the hills in Thredbo and the heat and humidity was getting to me as well.
Out: 16:11 (5:03/km)
Back: 14:33 (4:33/km)

Running 37:35 [3] 4.5 km (8:21 / km) +160m 7:05 / km
shoes: Asics Gel 2100

Another morning run with dad, my first as a married man. Felt pretty much the same as before ... must be something wrong ... My legs were buggered from who knows how many times up and the down the hill side at Thredbo. This time we followed the walking trail around the golf course and then the mtb cross country course up hill to the ski run and around a bit before dropping back to the village and sprinting up the hill.

Running 39:38 [3] 7.5 km (5:17 / km) +175m 4:44 / km
shoes: Asics Gel 2100

Wedding morning run with dad, up past the Thredbo golf course and up the river. Kept expecting some sage advice but when I finally prompted him all he had was "be happy to be told what to do"! Nice one dad :) Includes a 4min stretch break at halfway point. Gmap

Running (Terrain) 44:50 [3] 7.0 km (6:24 / km) +140m 5:49 / km
shoes: Olway Somethings

Run through the old, now burnt out Bluett's map with dad. Kept to the furrowed and bumpy ground which is all that is left of the pine forest. About half way we climbed up into the compartment of eucalypt forest which looks just like it did before the fire — amazing!

Orienteering 39:00 [4] 5.5 km (7:05 / km) +160m 6:11 / km
shoes: Olway Somethings

Orienteering at Black Mountain. Lovely running — seemed so open after the terrain around Calgary. Was just cruising around not paying much attention and made a sweet parallel error running from #4 to #2 and didn't notice until I got completely confused running to #6. Probably lost 5-6min. Temp was about 30 deg and I felt bone dry and parched most of the way around.
