Running 12:00 [2] 2.0 km (6:00 / km)

Warmup before the race

Orienteering 47:18 [4] 7.0 km (6:45 / km) +110m 6:16 / km

French Relay Champs, 2nd leg.
No mistakes again, and reasonably fast so overall quite happy (pulled team up from 45th to 18th, but against all the "weaker" runners). Shame that the area and especially the planning were way too easy...it was a course for 14-year olds really, with all the controls being very close to big path junctions, and 90% of the running being on paths

Team came 19th overall, 2min off 13th

Running 6:00 [2] 1.0 km (6:00 / km)

Warmup

Orienteering 1:23:35 [4] 11.0 km (7:36 / km) +160m 7:05 / km

French Classic Champs, H21L.
Nice sand dune terrain, but too many paths so rather easy overall. Boring planning didn't help either.
Great run though, practically no mistakes and kept the same (slowish) speed going from beginning to end, with help of Camelbak and some Powergel

9th of about 200, 5 minutes behind the winner.

Orienteering 35:20 [4] 5.5 km (6:25 / km) +100m 5:53 / km

French Middle Champs, qualifier.
Sand dune terrain with many rides and loads of nasty vegetation (I'm still thoroughly scratched 5 days afterwards..)

Pretty decent run except for starting too fast and thus making about 2 minutes of mistakes altogether. Slight problem though, I mispunched on control 10 of 12...punched a V pit instead of a U depression, 138 instead of 139...I was pretty tired and the numbers were difficult to read (plus I had 128 before) but the controls were about 80m away, so it's totally my fault.
First mispunch ever, was pretty surprised at the finish but then quickly figured out what I had done. Big bummer though, I would have come 6th of 15 in my heat, with the top 8 to qualify for the final. Oh well, more recovery time for the next day..

Orienteering 34:00 [3] 4.5 km (7:33 / km) +50m 7:09 / km

Training run in reasonably nice sand dune terrain. Quite a bit of vegetation in the way though

Running 1:03:35 [3] 14.0 km (4:33 / km) +300m 4:06 / km

Back in France with Abi, running the usual loop in Meudon - lovely as ever

French champs this weekend (Fri - middle, Sat- classic and Sun-relay) but decided not to make it a priority, but rather consider it part of normal training. So did a fairly hard session today. Then rest tomorrow, and easy training Thursday
