Note

Slowly but surely starting to feel better running again, even though training is only up to about 4 times a week, 3 hours a week.

Since I started from pretty much scratch in June the idea is to do some good build up training until September, a competition season in October (Austrian middle and relay champs, french national event, maybe a race in germany, and venice), and then the usual winter training, with the goal of finishing the paris marathon early april, and doing some good o racing as well

next year i'd like to do the early season racing circuit in europe, ie spring cup, jk and perhaps tiomila

Running 1:21:05 [3] 18.0 km (4:30 / km)

In the woods near Cologne, Germany. Pretty tired but pushed through. Major spill 5 minutes before the end, didn't see a little tree stump sticking out in the middle of the path and proceeded to kiss the dirt. Oh well.

Running 46:54 [4] 9.0 km (5:13 / km)

Cross running training in Hahnwald, Cologne, Germany. Great little forest near my dads house, very urban and flat really (so theoretically no good), but the forest is of medium to thick density so cross running is great leg training. 10 minutes in that stuff is really tiring, and the legs (thighs especially) hurt afterwards.

About half the time spent cross running, half the time on paths.

Highlight of the day was 5 mins through knee high grass. Felt like 'em fields in Kentucky (not that I've ever been there)
