Orienteering 2:14:00 [4] 14.5 km (9:14 / km) +450m 8:00 / km

The Jukola, final leg for Team 2. A tough tough course, physically and mentally. Great to control 12 (catching up loads of people), then 2 big mistakes, loss of motivation and tiredness. An experience nonetheless, but I'm not sure I want to repeat it that quickly!!

Orienteering 45:24 [3] 5.6 km (8:06 / km) +150m 7:09 / km

Jukola training, felt good. Technically ok, too. Confident.

Running 45:01 [3] 10.5 km (4:17 / km)

The usual run around Paris. Decent time despite not pushing very hard, and despite the still sweltering temperatures..(28 degrees and high humidity)

Optimistic for Jukola!!

Orienteering 1:29:29 [4] 12.1 km (7:24 / km) +415m 6:19 / km

Belgian 3-days, Day 3.

Aaaahhh, finally a *nice* day out again. Much nicer forest, more gentle contours, good runnability, and technically more interesting.

Felt stronger too, for some bizarre reason. Still 18 minutes down on the winner, but didn't push very hard (could have pushed a bit harder), technically very clean except one 2-min mistake, and generally just a lot more fun than recently.

Generally optimistic for Jukola. Technique is as good as it's ever been, especially if I take a goo along for half way (I tend to make most mistakes around 60 minutes running time when I lose concentration). Fitness is a little doubtful, but this is mostly true up steep hills. On the flat it's not too bad, so Finland shouldn't be too bad for that. And motivation is 100% of course..
