Gym 42:30 [4]

Waaah! More gym! I can't take it any longer..

Well actually it was ok, especially the elliptical, I love that machine. Rowing was a little painful so I cut it short at the end.

Went to see the podologist yesterday who said insoles will be ready next Weds and I could start running again immediately...except if I have an actual tear in the ligament, which I may, and I will find that out also on Wednesday

Note

So I do have plantar fasciitis (how boring..) - cure is to get orthotics which I am very happy about because I run very oddly and the P.F. is linked to shin splints and stress fractures I have had earlier - so orthotics should hopefully be good for foot in general

Orthotics should be ready Monday

Also I will have ultrasound (no not pregnant) to check if anything major torn as opposed to just stretched. Doesn't change anything on the orthotics but will need more shit done (like kinesitherapie) if it's torn..

Ah the joys of injury, a whole new vocabulary opens up..

Gym 43:00 [4]

Usual set, quite tired. Pulled through the elliptical on level 17 though (401 kcal in 20 min), then a lacklustre bike.

Can feel the benefit of all this rowing, I think..even though I only do 8 mins a pop, I have been doing it for 3 months now and it feels like it's getting easier

Note

It's impossible to get to any kind of decent weekly training time without being able to run. Yes, I can go to the gym and I can do strength, but there is only so much of that you can do in a week before you go crazy..

I suppose I could go biking but that would involve finding a bike. If I still can't run next weekend I think I may have to look into that in more detail
