Orienteering 43:45 [3] 5.8 km (7:33 / km)

Long course at College Woods. Took it easy, but navigated well. A beautiful day, but the woods were still pretty icy in places. (Interesting route choice problem: Avoid trails as much as possible!)

Orienteering (Mapping) 20:00 [1]

Checking out Pine Hills West. It is a nice area, but I'm not sure Abi and I will be up to the task of mapping it...

Running 1:02:47 [4] 9.2 mi (6:49 / mi)

Shad to Watertown fast (31.00+29.42=60.42 between bridges). Rehearsal for sunday's half marathon, felt good.

Spinning (hard) 41:00 [4]

Moved spinning up one day to give foot another day's rest. Felt much better than last week. Still not 100% fit, but was much more fun.

Spinning (warmup/down) 15:00 [2]

Strength 36:00 [3]

3 shortened sets (8 instead of 10 workouts to take it easy on my foot)

Orienteering (barely) 30:00 [1] 2.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

Some running, some compass and pacing training at Breakhart. Feeling tired, and lots of little painful niggles (foot, shoulder, shin). But I now know that my terrain pace is 38/100m.

Running 2:00:00 [3] 15.2 mi (7:54 / mi)

Exploring new bits of Blue Hills with Kenny, crazy Will and Abi. First south of the highway around Ponkapoag Pond (40 mins), then west from Houghtons Pond over Little Blue Hill to Fowl Meadow Reservation, then back along the road for a bit and along the north side of Great Blue Hill. Finally a loop of Houghtons Pond. Tired at the beginning (esp. uphill), then better.
