One lap of Richmond Park. Was hoping to do much longer, but picked up a cold from the kids so not feeling great.

In fact, really not feeling great before the run, and now sniffling afterwards, but the run itself was actually fine - only a couple of minutes slower than normal. I'd love to know what the physiology behind that is.

But proof that you can "run through" colds, at least some of them. Although we'll see tomorrow if there is any collateral damage.

EMR #2 this week - would have preferred lunch but had a work thing to attend. Took it really easy (and no intervals) as not much sleep this week - so turned out to just be a lovely easy run in the sunrise. What's not to like.

EMR in Knole Park, Sevenoaks (next to work, how lucky am I). Decided to go cross country for most of it, quite fun though found a few muddy patches. One bit was running down a fantastic wide grassy reentrant.

All things considered, felt decent enough so this was pretty good. Warm, too.

Full Wimbledon Common loop. Less muddy than expected. Didn't feel great but got round OK. Pretty weak afterwards but maybe just hadn't eaten enough.

First intervals of the season, 3x3mins with 3min jog break. Felt pretty tired generally.

EMR (early morning run) from work through Knole Park. Tired but a lovely morning.

Running 2:18:28 [3] 28.1 km (4:56 / km) +200m 4:45 / km

Long run from home over to Barnes and then all the way back along the river. Which looked like a Canaletto painting as there was some rowing going on (also meant I had to barge lots of people out of the way, which was mildly annoying).

Felt pretty decent except for the last 3-4km through Richmond Park, but toughed it out.
