IdF O-Champs (a very important occasion with a whole 150 people!)

ok run, but felt pretty tired again, especially up the hills, so started making mistakes (5x 1min altogether)

fastest time 66, so I'm not that far off any more, but it would still be nice to be able to run faster!!

next weekend, national meet, we'll see..

25mins bike, 25mins elliptical

it was really hot in the gym so I sweated buckets. Taking the shirt off afterwards is definitely my least favorite bit about going to the gym, ugh.

good workout though, a little sluggish but not too bad (244 kcal for the bike, 500 kcal for the elliptical)

Evening run with Abi in Foret de Meudon. 15 mins by train to get out there from Paris, it's quite big and there are serious hills! Joy!

Orienteering 2:52:52 [4] 20.3 km (8:31 / km) +400m 7:45 / km

Long-O in Fontainebleau with Abi. Weather was rainy, but I loved it!!! Could orienteer ok for that long, not too tired, foot ok as well. We won by miles, but that wasn't much of an achievement. 22 controls, 5ish mins of mistake; not too bad.

In Marbella, Spain. Over here for the weekend checking out possible sites for a company trip. Sounds fun, but it isn't, spent all day driving around between different hotels, restaurants and nightclubs. So only managed to eke out a half hour of running, which was quite nice along a golf course. Warm, sunset.

Felt better than last Friday & Sunday, still not 100% strong. Likely due to lack of sleep in last few weeks, but getting better as I am sleeping more..

Terrible orienteering race: Felt ok for first 30 minutes, then more and more tired. Probably because I haven't run for more than 45 minutes in the past 10 weeks, at least I hope that's the reason. Also the weather was cold and windy, and the map not very good.

Positive points: Technique ok until I got tired (then 2 5-min mistakes), and the foot doesn't seem to have minded (which I guess is a great thing looked at objectively, but I just can't get much motivation going given the way I feel)

the "usual" run, for time first time in 3 months. tough going, but not as slow as I thought (best ever around 43, but that was really fast!) - and the weather was amazing, sunset and 17 degrees
