Track race (One Mile) 5:02 [4] 1.0 mi (5:02 / mi)

This was my first running race in 1.5 years. I paced it out, first two laps were easy, third was build and fourth hold on. I felt positive throughout the race and just kept on going which was a big mental improvement on how negative I used to be in races.

I probably ended going between 85-90% of total effort I could have given. I feel that if I were to give 100% I could shave 6 seconds off.

Finished with no leg pain other than a minor left calf cramp. Large improvement on my hip flexors from two weeks ago!

I was also beautiful outside, perfect conditions :)

Track warm up/down 30:00 [2]

I was feeling tired so I took a nap, where before I go to sleep I take some Gu(energy gel) which has caffeine. The sleep makes the caffeine nearly 200% more effective and makes my fitness reach its max possible for the day. I had it with an energy drink

I woke up feeling rejuvenated and ready to go, 15min before I had a fiber one bar and little of an energy drink
