I had great intentions of going to the WET, and even sat through 1 hour of traffic to get there. However, when I went to go put on my shoes I realized I had grabbed one trail runner and one orienteering shoe. Unfortunately, they were both the right foot! And then my watch broke. Tonight was just not my night.
Surfing for about 4 hours. My arms are sore now! Definitely not channeling my inner surfer dude, but I could get up in the white water at least! Then I just had fun playing in the waves afterwards without my surfboard.
On a kayaking tour with Oscar. We had a lot of pedal difficulties for stirring, so I think we doubled the length we actually had to paddle by zigzagging our way across. Total of an hour and a half of paddling.
Training in Washington Park in Anacortes. I didn't realize the map was 1:7500 until after I finished, which seriously threw off my internal scale. The cliffs were a super cool area although I decided to take a very poor route choice up one of them.
Moran State Park training on Orcas Island with Graeme, Kate, and Ian. Finally made it after a 6 hour ferry adventure! Graeme went first and put out flagging tape, although I was having a hard time finding some of them. I don't know if this was because I was in the wrong spot or Graeme was... Really nice area though!
Playing with Graeme and Kate's Elimination Eights Canada Day tournament team. Definitely a different playing style, but pretty fun. We played 5 games in all (and may have lost all of them...). Super hot and sunny day.
