Strength (Group Power) 1:00:00 [2]

I felt pretty tired today in Group Power, but it was still good. :)

Running 30:00 [3] 3.83 mi (7:50 / mi)
shoes: Blue Asics Gel 1110

Running on the treadmill at the Y. Listened to music, but still found it boring. I'm pretty pleased with the pace I was going though (7.4 mph for most of it).

Taekwondo 15:00 [1]

Going through our demo again. I hope it will be ready in time for our demonstration!

Running warm up/down 10:00 [2]
shoes: Blue Asics Gel 1110

Warm up before doing my strength program.

Biking 10:00 [1]

In the middle of my program after the leg exercises.

Strength 35:00 [2]

Strength exercises on my program. Add 2 x 1 minute of the "plank" as well.

Strength (Elltipical) 10:00 [1]

Really out of it. Just going through the movement.

Strength (Step) 30:00 [2]

So hot out today! I decided to take a break from running in the morning today and only do Step in the evening. It was a good class, except I somehow managed to always get on the wrong side.

Note

I went to a friend's birthday party which included an interesting scavenger hunt (with a fairly detailed map no less) and spotlight which was through some woods. I was so impressed that some if it was slightly orienteering oriented! :D

Running 16:45 [2] 3.0 km (5:35 / km)
slept:8.0 shoes: Blue Asics Gel 1110

Mom couldn't go running this morning with me in Centennial park and I felt really tired so I went around the lake instead. Legs felt heavy and a little sore, so I took it fairly easy. It's been a nice running temperature lately, finely no more snow and cold temperatures!

Stretching 5:00 [0]

I want to get in the habit of stretching more often, so I thought it'd be more motivating to log it (although I'm logging it at intensity 0 and cutting the time in 1/2).

Strength (Group Power) 1:00:00 [2]

Group Power class just like I've done for the past couple of Thursday. Really good, and tiring! Abs and biceps were especially hard. For some reason though I don't feel much when we do the squats, I'm hoping it's not because I have bad technique.

Running (Treadmill) 25:00 [3] 2.98 mi (8:23 / mi)
slept:9.0 shoes: Blue Asics Gel 1110

Running on a treadmill at the Y. I was trying to get an fairly easy 5km in 30 minutes, but didn't have enough time so I decided to run a little faster to see if I could make 5km in 25 minutes (which I was off by a little bit) I think I was running at a speed of 6.6mph, then 7.0mph, then 7.3mph, and finally 7.5mph (or something like that). It was really boring and the minutes seemed to take forever to pass. Felt good to be running at a decent pace for me. I felt pretty good except towards the end I really started to get tired. Fortunately my knee felt great! Huzzah!

Taekwondo 20:00 [2]

Right after the Y, so I was kind of tired. Still working on our demo.

Running 31:14 [1]
slept:8.0 (injured) shoes: Blue Asics Gel 1110

I got up semi early to go running with Mom this morning in Centennial Park. We took it really easy because I hurt my knee over the weekend in Ottawa. My right leg was getting really tense because I was putting more pressure on it than my left. Felt pretty good though, nice running temperature!

Stretching 5:00 [0]

Felt good to stretch out after my jog in the park. :)

Strength (The Wave) 10:00 [2]
shoes: Squash Shoes

I finally got it. It was pretty hard.

Strength 35:00 [3]

Skipped "Leg Press" because of my knee.

Orienteering 30:00 [2] **
(injured) shoes: Orienteering Shoes (Jalas)

Super Spring Series, I was running pretty slow and I felt slow orienteering. I didn't get to finish the course because I had to get back for something for school. Ran fairly hard for the last 5 minutes because I realized that I needed to get back and was halfway across the park. My knee felt pretty good though. Yay! :)

Taekwondo 30:00 [1]

My partner to go to the Y today was sick so I just stayed home and worked on a pile of school work. I did go to TKD though which was good. Because it was so hot it seemed a lot harder. We've finally finished our form though!

Strength warm up/down (Elliptical) 10:00 [2]
shoes: Squash Shoes

Actually did the proper intensity that I was suppose to. Felt good enough.

Strength 30:00 [2]
shoes: Squash Shoes

Actually got to complete my whole program of strength exercises and machines. They felt fairly easy today for some reason.

Biking (Stationary) 10:00 [2]
slept:8.0 shoes: Squash Shoes

It was okay, but I kept slipping of my seat!

Orienteering 22:53 [4]
shoes: Orienteering Shoes (Jalas)

Super Spring Series event. I'm suppose to have a handicap of 3, but the register gave me one of four. I felt somewhat guilty though and got another control. I was really sloppy at the beginning, but then got more into the flow. I felt pretty good and was running at a decent pace for me. My lower legs are all red now because I forgot to wear gators and I went through a lot of thorns (it didn't help that my pants are too short).

I'm not sure that was my exact time, I'll edit it once I find out.

Orienteering 1:04:00 [3] 4.5 mi (14:13 / mi)
shoes: Orienteering Shoes (Jalas)

Doing course 2 out of 3 at a B-meet in Odell Park. I had an okay race until number 10 when the control was in the wrong gulley and was messed up for like 10 minutes. Still a fun course, especially as it was the meet director's first time organizing an event.

Orienteering 1:56:05 [3]
shoes: Orienteering Shoes (Jalas)

Score - O in Rockwood Park. Was pretty good, but I had a hard time getting myself to go quickly. Missed 6 controls out of 25, and the others went fairly well except for one were I was looking for 15 minutes.

Strength (Step Class) 30:00 [2]

Y Step I. Fun, it's getting a lot better!

Thursday May 3, 2007 #

Strength 1:00:00 [2]
shoes: Squash Shoes

Instead of going to Beginner Cyclefit, Emily and I went to Group Power (a barbell class) instead. It was really fun, but my muscles are so tired now! And I was using some of the lowest weights. :P

Wednesday May 2, 2007 #

Biking 10:00 [2]

Warm-up at the Y. Trying to memorize Hamlet's famous soliloquy (to be, or not to be), got 4 lines! :P

Strength 25:00 [3]

Felt really hard today, and didn't get to finish my whole program due to lack of time.

Strength (The Wave) 3:00 [2]

Really brief cool down on the "Wave."

Taekwondo 30:00 [1]

Working on our form over and over and over again.

Orienteering 22:06 [4] **
shoes: Orienteering Shoes (Jalas)

Fun event in St. Anselme! Harold updated the map a little, so it was much better running on it. Made one mistake that was probably around a minute, but besides that it was a good run (although it was a simple course). I came 4th because I had a handicap of 4. :D
