orienteering race 2:05:00 [3] 9.66 km (12:56 / km)

Mendon o-meets. Due to both knees hurting after running during the last two meets I decided to just walk the event. Perfect weather for an event, sunny and ~63 ° . Another one of those events with a lot of trail travel and little opportunity to bushwhack to shorten a leg. Bushwhacking was often a slow choice due to the swallow wart. I had one major error. I'll blame most of it on the map but no doubt I messed up too.

Road bike 1:25:36 [3] 36.95 km (25.9 kph)

Home to the Sunshine campus to kavanaugh to work to pole bridge and home. A bit cool, short sleeve and jacket, but no wind. A nice fall evening. Felt good the whole ride.~16.2 avg

Mountain bike 1:35:00 [3] 8.15 mi (5.1 mph)

Harriet Hollister with Stina.a short bit in daylight and the rest with lights. Nice conditions dry and a bit cool. Rode the race loop. Fell once in the daylight when the rear tire spun and slid on a root. Reaiming the light makes a big difference.

A beautiful day for a ride. Temp~67° light wind, and clear blue sky. House to the archery club to kavanaugh and back past the Sunshine campus. Felt surprisingly good about a 16 mpg average so I'm happy with that.

Kayaking 2:57:00 [3] 12.04 mi (14:42 / mi)

Hemlock lake full moon paddle with Stina. The first cool weather paddle of the fall. Starting temp in the low 60s and finishing temp in the low 50s. Wore the dry suit with a light long sleeve and shorts, worked well. A few clouds to start but then cleared to a very bright moon. Tried to find the north start via the big and little dipper but the moon was too bright for star watching. Another beautiful night for a paddle.
