Running 40:00 [3]

Plod. Went out as soon as i could after getting back from the airport. As bad as could be expected given it was just off the flight, quite hot already, barely any sleep, pudding feet and cooked legs. It did improve as the run went on though.

Note

Turns out it really isn't possible for me to be tired enough to sleep on planes. I think though that the cabin being really hot didn't help.

(rest day)

Travel day 1. Drove to Barcelona and waiting for the flight to Dubai. Let's see if I'm tired enough to sleep on the plane...

Last ride. Perfect weather but legs were wrecked from the start. Col de Tourmalet first, then Cirque de Troumouse. The Troumouse was definitely the best climb of this part of the pyrennes that we've done.

Col fest #2. Aspin, Peyragudes, Peyresourde, Azet and Ancizan. Ate crepes but not enough. Wasn't the last one to the top of the hill on 3/5.
Last day tmw. James seems to have decided we need to do every hill left.

Col fest. Borderes, Soulor, Aubisque and back over the Soulor. Got abandoned by the boys at the start of the first climb but by the time i got to the top of the Aurbisque the burger Dan had ordered me for lunch was nearly ready. Win!

Cycling 4:40:00 [3] 82.0 km (3:25 / km) +2700m 2:56 / km

Col de Portet and Lac de Cap de Long. Long day, but mainly because of the drive to the start. Nice climbs but was getting pretty tired by the end. Over cooked the run into a hairpin bend coming off the first climb and locked things up. Fortunately managed to run it straight and pull it up before the edge. Lucky!
Drove back over the Tourmalet. That's going to be a big day.
