Orienteering race 43:26 [5] 5.2 km (8:21 / km)

SA middle and NOL. Finally a good race! Made sure i had a really good warm up which helped with feeling a bit less shabby away the start. Awesome terrain for me and for into it well. Could see Belinda from the run across to 5 and caught her on the far loop. I was holding it together well but then made a dumb mistake on 17 and lost the lead. Had another small wobble on 18 but got the last few ok. Pretty happy to finish the season with a good result, and generally pleased with my runs other than the long.

Orienteering race 1:30:00 [5]

Aus long champs at mount Crawford. Never really in this. Tired and a bit bored. Got caught by bun after making a big wobble on 2 and she made enough mistakes to stay with her till the last loop. Took the track up the hill but it was to slow and lost a fair bit of time on the last loop. Very tired and sore. Feet are pretty wrecked.

Running warm up/down 20:00 [2]

Needed more warm up today... not sure it would have made much difference though cos i still felt rubbish at the end

Running 50:00 [3]

Late afternoon run in Belair, on the junior girls loop (or something like it... missed a few tracks) on the map I found at Bridget's. Beautiful area to run in, with lots of wildflowers. Very ploddy and hammy was a bit unhappy.
Pretty decent loop for JG - is it their long run Bridget?

Note

I need to figure out what to do with my toe before the weekend. it seems that my shoes have stretched a bit (but are still somehow tight) and my 2nd toe got smashed up running last weekend. the blood blister goes under the whole nail and behind the nail bed. there is a fair bit of fluid in it and the nail is floating around on top. I'm thinking I should drain it then tape it down, but I'm a bit worried about it blistering again underneath. it could be a very long 11km on Sat (and probably even worse on Sun).

Orienteering race 17:19 [5] 3.5 km (4:57 / km)

Aus Sprint at Renmark Schools. super fast and flat course, made a little more technical with some fences in the school area. pretty clean run but legs were pretty wrecked at the end. happy with the result - 6th and less than 2mins behind is good for me - I was closer to 3mins behind at the melb sprint weekend.
