on the gravel rig, with dan's new wheels and road tyres. testing the setup for spain. generally good, but after being on the roadie every day for a few weeks the reach on this bike seems a little long.

Senior boys course at the schools champs. kholo rd. really good new map, and a good course set by Jess. pretty steady - L glute & hammy got a bit tight so didn't push too hard on the hills.

Orienteering race 21:00 [5] 3.2 km (6:34 / km)

Senior boys sprint at the schools champs. Legs felt a bit wooden warning up but got into the course ok. Course was really good and i was generally going ok... except for getting a couple of controls into the loop before realising that i was doing it backwards. Went back and did it the right way. I think it cost about 2 mins in the end, and some motivation to run hard. Legs couldn't quite hold the pace for the full distance anyway.

Mtb with James at daisy. Nice ride.

Orienteering 48:00 [3] 6.4 km (7:30 / km)

Stockyard creek. Good course for a simple area, set by Lorenzo. Felt pretty rubbish running after riding but got going eventually and generally felt pretty strong. Piriformis got a bit tight by the end.

bushwalk to lizard point with James and Kate. about 5hrs out, and thanks to my very broken body it was way harder than it should have been. combination of doms and crash landing I think.
awesome views and very clear. and cold up in the rainforest! not often that you walk with a jumper on in qld!

Long run with Wendy, Lance and Rachel, although Rachel was way too fast for us. Legs really heavy and still some doms. Never really got going. Also had a stack on a dirt trail on coottha and busted my hands and knees.

walk on country week. lots of little walks but no training. body needed a week off anyway.
really cool week - waterfalls and swimming holes, some art sites, sacred sites, fishing and collecting bush food.

very busy weekend helping Pete get ready for walk on country, and then packing utes and driving to the campsite. feet are still a fair way off running.
