Proper test for the new rig. Maroon via cannon creek then up behind the dam to white swamp and back via mt alford. All very nostalgic, but it's amazing how many more houses there are out around the dam. Bike was great and there were some brutal gravel climbs to test it on. Tough last hour back into town. I guess i forgot that i haven't done any training.

New bike! Picked up my gravel bike today (cannondale topstone) and went out to boonah. Did a loop out to sugarloaf that includes some good gravel climbs. Bike is awesome.

back to walk-jogs. 100/100 along the mine track. a few little twinges while my body got used to the concept of running, but better by the end.
also - it rained! and only 30C! nice to run in cool humid conditions for a change.

walk in anzac park. left glute and hammy a little tight, but nothing like last time. its going to be a challenge not to overdo things.

Anzac park plod. Tired this morning and only ran cos it was my last chance for a while. Getting another cortisone injection this morning. Super steamy out today.

Note

another cortisone injection today, with the aim being to finish clearing the sciatic nerve adhesions that I got the first treatment on back at the start of december. I got a fair bit of improvement from the first treatment, but the doc at the time said he hadn't been able to clear all of it and it would need another go. this time was no where near as bad as the first time and the pain level was just uncomfortable rather than vomit inducing. this time the injection was 40ml rather than the 20ml that was all they could do last time.
the injection has stirred things up a little - similar to the last time, but no where near as bad.
