easy run today. went to the physio today and got my hip mushed and pummelled. even got some needles put in the top of my itb. seemed to work, cos my hip has been ok for the rest of the day - just a bit bruised while running.
state event at parkinson reserve. just another piece of brissy bush, but nice and flat and runnable, so quite fun. had a mostly ok run, except for a dodgy compass leg.
ok time for this run, still just working a lot harder than I should be to do it. looks like I still have some speed, just my aerobic fitness has deserted me entirely!
itb was ok - just tightened up a bit an hour or so after the run. lots of stretching!
short run with James. not too slow (usually do this one as a recovery run after big races and it takes a fair bit longer), but felt pretty unfit.
itb is a bit tight, but not sore.
putting out controls at mt crosby for sundays OY. tough day out, and I'm glad I don't have to run there! I'm so unfit for orienteering at the moment - hardest part was running down the hills - way too steep and too much junk!
plod round the uni. was fairly hard work for a little run, but I guess its been a while. no hint of itb pain though which is awesome. lots of stretching now!
routeburn track from glenorchy end to harris saddle return. only started at lunchtime, so ended up running heaps of the way back to make it out before dark. tops walk. very scenic.
enduro style - straight down the run into the lift queue (which stayed really short all day!) and just keep lapping. great snow and nice and sunny for our last day. totally stuffed by the end, but getting pretty quick. did about 20 runs - up from 5 or 6 a few days ago.
