long run from Tamsin and Richie's place, with Clare but not Tamsin. pissing rain the whole way and got a bit cold at times.

street o at clayfield. had an ok run and felt good running, but Rachel took a much better route and was heaps quicker.

got an enormous tick on my leg.

got home in daylight so got an unexpected run. decided to do some hills. 6 x the hill at the back of Anzac park, up to Stanley tce.
1:45, 1:41, 1:42, 1:45, 1:45, 1:48.
I think I hit max heart rate on the second last.

Orienteering 37:00 [3]

street o at rainworth. tricky area and lots of hills. a bit of a plod around but I think I picked a good course.
I also tried out a new app that Peter Effeney has made which tracks your run and knows whether you've been to the controls. seemed to work well and showed the map with track on at the end.

run from my place to street o. definitely needed the warm up.

rolled in to the climate rally with James and Kate

Mt Coottha run. started just as a storm rolled in but most of it went further north so it didn't rain too heavily. it was nice to run in cool conditions and felt heaps better than the last few runs in the heat.

long run from my place, with Clare and Su Yan, and Mark and James for the first 2mins.
tough start and the humidity was very draining. it wasn't looking good for the first half hour but steadily improved. considered adding a bit more, but planning on doing the park o this afternoon.

Orienteering race 20:25 [4] 3.1 km (6:35 / km)

park o at robelle domain, set by Katelyn. fun course around the park and legs felt surprisingly good.

back is feeling terrible - super tight and nasty nerve pain. its been hanging around for a few weeks now, and has gotten a lot worse in the last few days. got a physio appointment tomorrow, so hopefully it will improve.

another morning lap of anzac park. these are definitely getting a lot easier. even felt awake-ish from the start.
it rained most of the night and it was really steamy this morning. for a while it was raining without a cloud to fall out of. weird.

hot yoga. same class as usual but it seemed short and relaxing tonight rather than the normal torture. I think my glute strength must finally be improving - managed to get through 2mins of warrior 2 without getting Elvis-leg.

run from Clare's, with Clare, Mat, Katelyn and Ian, who now has done time to run on Saturdays as school sport it's winding down for the year.
did the usual loop, and struggled. had planned on extending it a bit but legs were threatening to cramp so went back for a swim.

morning run in Anzac park. very strange behavior from me but I'm feeling depressed from running so badly recently and mornings are the only time I have at the moment. I was asleep for the first bit but eventually got going and ran the hills at the end a bit harder.

Dan needed the car, but fixed my bike so I could ride, yay! I think it's been a while - nearly a year! luckily riding a bike is like riding a bike - you never forget! a few sections of the bike path have been improved in the last year also. looks like I skipped the pain of the major bikeway works on coro drive.

great morning to be out, definitely should do this more often!

ride home was a bit tough. legs quite unfamiliar with the demands of cycling and sitting on the bike seat was hurty.

hot yoga. good stretching session. my back is finally starting to stretch out, but still sore.

slow and ploddy run into southbank for parkrun. feeling very flat and not looking forward to trying to run fast.

Running 24:05 [5] 5.0 mi (4:49 / mi)

Parkrun. nearly as slow and ploddy as the run in. ran with clare until the last 500m as she fell apart a bit more than me. new worst time for 5k by quite a way.
great breakfast after at a new cafe in milton called two wheels and a handlebar.
