Orienteering (Coaching) 2:00:00 [3]

Well I arrived early today for the training session, and well lets just say when you have a white board and markers - ended up drawing a epic map on the board.

Did some map memory exercises to warm up on old maps.
Got the guys to did some race-pace map work today - racing against each other.
Got some good orienteering in myself with them as well.
Last 15 minutes was some good old ultimate frisbee fitness. Had a rugby field so had loads of space from running.

Orienteering (Coaching) 1:00:00 [3]

Fitness day - only did about 3km with the guys. Various agility techniques. To be fair i didnt do much with them, purely to make sure they did it properly.

Ultimate Frisbee 30:00 [3]

Always a good way to end off a training session, good way to develop burst speed movements and sudden changes in direction.

Orienteering (Coaching) 2:00:00 [3]

Some race prep for the next season, teaching my guys on how is the best way to select a route choice and how you should look at multiple choices before picking the best one.
My guys challenged me to a bit of a race with a route choice (EOC 2014 Men's Sprint #9 to #10) - managed to find the fastest route choice in 1.5 seconds without previously seeing the control, lets just say i should have put some money on it.

Last 30 minutes i always like to do something different with the guys. Played some ultimate Frisbee (me making them run after a Frisbee basically).

Yoga 1:00:00 [3]

Great session.
Started the beginning steps of the head stand, going again on Wednesday so i can progress further with it.

Rock Climbing (City Rock) 9:00:00 [4]

Great day out at City Rock with Richard. Started off with some normal climbs on the 20m walls, then headed off to do some bouldering, now starting on a much higher technicality (5C with a horizontal start) at the end of the day we had completed up too 6C and were working on a dino 6C+. From a climbing side i pushed myself harder today, on a more mental than physical way as a few of the courses that were complete i didnt believe i could do it at first.
