Note
(injured) (rest day)

This is the worst episode I've had for a while - back felt tight even lying down and didn't even consider going out this morning. Improved considerably during the day so hopefully I'll be able to do something tomorrow (although something well short of what I'd originally intended).

Had a session today where the ASC was consulting national sporting organisations on the development of a National Sports Plan. Some interesting discussion (and stirred up a few thoughts of my own). Less uplifting on the train on the way there was an old woman (81 to be precise - given that part of what she said was "I was nine when the war ended") who was launching into a go-back-where-you-came-from tirade against a group of African teenagers whose only obvious sin was to be young and black in a public place. It's perhaps an indicator that sport is running ahead of the general community that if she'd said it at the MCG on a Friday night it would have been front-page news, but on a train at a Wednesday lunchtime no-one else seemed to care less.
