Coledale horseshoe fell race
Got stuck behind loads of people and the start and had to queue up the first hill which was annoying, then ended up walking a lot of the climb up to Grisedale Pike, definitely should have run more but didn’t know how much longer it was/how the rest of the route would be so happy to sit in with the people around me. A bit slow on some of the descents but that’s just technique. Shoes just starting rubbing a bit on the bottom of the heels at the end, not sure why but not really a problem. First U23 anyway so got some nice prize money and such a beautiful day to be out.

LOC evening event at Great Tower
Trying to run at over speed to make mistakes which kind of worked, messed up 5 by a couple of minutes by going up the wrong stream and making things fit, then spent ages looking for 6 which was in the wrong place, and then fine after that. Generally not using compass enough and rushing out of the control circles without a decent plan, but good to practice starting fast.
