ORIENTEERING ◪ race 58:32 [4] 8.83 km (6:38 / km) +110m 6:14 / km
shoes: INOV-8 Roclite 285-2

Bendigo's first event for the year, the Fowl and Fizz.

Started out in the same direction as Dave and Invis, and maybe a hoard of others. Dave got the 1st, 1st, and never gave up the front running, though at times, the gap did get smaller. I planned my route so as I would be near the track the YM guys run along, didn't have to wait long, and we got two controls (none of them left the track) before I headed of to do the rest of the course. Got back with 88 secs spare, so planning was perfect.

Dave did it in 48, Invis got the lot, but was late

ROAD BIKE 1:27:34 [3] 39.88 km (2:12 / km) +339m 2:06 / km

Didn't run for long enough this morning, so went for a ride with Jo-Anne

Up Burns St, then around the Juvey, Storeys Rd, Guys Hill and home

RUN 3:00 [3] 0.6 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Pegasus 27

Race was meant to be at 3.25, so was leaving the warm up to the last min, as it was raining. Next thing, they announced the start in 5 mins, it was all I could do before heading for the start line

RUN race (Steeple) 12:07 [5] 3.0 km (4:02 / km)
shoes: Lunar Racer

My one and only attempt as a 50+, at the 3k steeple this year.

It all went to plan, would have been nice to go under 12, even 11.40 which is my 3k 40+ PB, but as a 50+, you only need to get over 75cm hurdles, compared to 90 cm

RUN 5:00 [3] 1.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Lunar Racer

Couple of laps with James Robertson who ran 7.03 for 2k steeple

Friday Feb 4, 2011 #

RUN 20:00 [3] 4.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: INOV-8 318 GT

I got wet, but was it the rain, or was it sweat? It had to be both, as it was 26 and raining, so warm!

Out and around the Spring Gully reserve, threw in a couple of 'faster' bits, all should be in shape for tomorrow

Another crack at the Gooseneck, same ride as Monday. Had a bit of a following wind going out, so time was good, decided to kep it up to see if I could go under 80mins, which I did easily.

Good thing Ev rides in the mornings now, dont know if he could keep up :)

Waited for the worse of the heat to go by, then did the Gooseneck without Ev, as apparently he went this morning without me, I'm devastated :)
