RUN 1:15:00 [3] 15.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Nike Terrain

Good turn up this morning, most were wearing tights, must be a sign of the temperature. Victor was moving well, he didn't race yestie, but did 40k. I think he was trying to psych me out (-:

Surprised with how well it all went, considering how I felt after the yesterday's race

RUN warm up/down 10:00 [3] 2.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Nike Terrain

Around the uni
2 PM

RUN race 28:59 [5] 7.5 km (3:52 / km)
shoes: INOV-8 Talon 212 #1

Uni Invitation, another slow start from me, saw me back of the back of the 2nd pack, kept it together, and worked the hills well, then as we approached the dirt section - and the top of the hill - I sensed a slow down at the front, so took the chance to push the pace. It seemed to work, as one by one, I felt no one behind.

Went through with 1.5 k to go, best chance in a while to check the opposition behind, and I seemed clear of all the other pre vets, still had 2 in front, but was holding 3rd. With 500 to go, bloke not that far back, so I pushed a little harder, and held him of.

3rd in 40+, there were 9 of us in the top 15, it is a very competitive age group

Thought I was going to get out before it got to cold, but the days turns so quickly, I missed it again.

Did a clockwise Juvy, kept the bike in top all the way, suffered on a few hills, but I got there

Was feeling good

Note

Good thing I didn't go racing at Sandown on the weekend, my sister ran 39.02, a PB, and she is nearly 47 (whoops, not meant to put her age there) (-:

Pity she cant navigate.
