RUN hills (Mystic Mt) 1:09:13 [3] 10.9 km (6:21 / km)
shoes: INOV-8 Roclite

Went out to fast for my fitness level, so started to suffer on the climb, took the attitude that the sooner it was over, the better, so kept going hard for the top. 3.5k in 30.11, but I was pooped, took it easier across the top to the decent (5.6k in 45.24) may have gone down to fast, cos when I got to the bottom, I had to walk on the flat. Stuffed as.

MTB 1:04:30 [3] 24.1 km (2:41 / km)
shoes: Nike Bike shoes #1

Standard channel loop, was going good, got to the back of Sanhurst Res in under 29 mins, kept it cruising and the hour passed at the SG tennis club.

This use to be a Hr + ride, will have to lengthen it if its going to keep its status

RUN 30:00 [3]
shoes: Nike Terrain

To the track (1k) then 3 x 1k reps done at a nice slow pace, as this was my 1st track training for the year, then 1k back home.

Nice conditions for running, Meredith finally got under 18, she had it all set for her, with every man and his dog, keen to pace her

RUN 40:00 [3]
shoes: Nike Terrain

Went out with the Birch Man, up DH, then Burns st, over the other side of the valley to OTH, and home via the track.

I had to work so hard on this run, the worse I have felt, ever..

Sunday Oct 25, 2009 #

Note

Was so looking forward to the Sunday run, but my Brother asked if I could drive a truck for him, so I spent the day up at Ky on the Silage chop instead.

Can I call this a run, I was so knackered from the last 2 days, I shouldn't have even tried, but then, I need to start sometime

Wednesday Oct 21, 2009 #

Note

Ditto to yesterday, but not the evening session, to buggered to go training

Tuesday Oct 20, 2009 #

Note

5 one hr classes at Kennington School, then another 1 hr session for White Hills Girl Guides. 6 hrs orienteering teaching is to much for me in one day

ORIENTEERING ◪ 1:20:00 [2]

Collecting controls from yesterdays Local event. Sedgwick is very nice at this time of year, pity I couldn't enjoy it to much, carting controls around isn't the best way to get about )-;

Saturday Oct 17, 2009 #

ORIENTEERING ◪ 20:00 [3]

Tuesday Oct 13, 2009 #

RUN 30:00 [3]

Social run. To Adelaide St for a yak with Bryan and Rooey, then Houston to talk to residents there, and home through the Cemetery. Wasn't as cold out as I 1st thought it would be

Sunday Oct 11, 2009 #

RUN 1:10:00 [3]
shoes: Nike Terrain

From Troys place down to the Melbourne marathon. Was nice running down the centre of St Kilda Rd without any traffic (-:

Hanny won the Womens 1/2, and Sophie ran a fairly smart PB in the 10, might need to start training properly, otherwise I will be left behind

Saturday Oct 10, 2009 #

ORIENTEERING ◪ 40:08 [3]

Mahers Barr Cup

Score event with some extra challenges, had to find a Alien (were is Shep when you need him) stickers spelling MARS, pet Sheep, etc

Friday Oct 9, 2009 #

RUN 30:00 [3]
shoes: Nike Terrain

1st run in a long time, through the Golf Course to Houlahan St, then to Adelaide St (no one home) and back to mine

Saturday Oct 3, 2009 #

ORIENTEERING ◪ (Aus Long Champs) 40:00 [3]
shoes: Nike Terrain

Ran around the most eastern controls, 1, to wake them up, 2, to check to see if they were still there.

Must have been early, as the 1st runners through thought they were turning them on, so either I was there to early, or the 1st runners for the day, were a bit slow

ORIENTEERING ◪ 40:00 [3]

Keely boys and I went control collecting, 18 controls in a area were you couldn't get a car, so we collected 5, and stashed them away, then another 5, and I took them back to the stash, and waited for the boys to get 5 more, then Leon and I started the trawl back to the car, with 15 controls and 6 water bottles and numerous rubbish bags etc, picking up a extra control on the way, while Bryan collected the remaining 2 controls and water containers.

Bryan got back minus 1 SI box, so he and I headed out to find it, we had no chance, so 1 SI box down for the Carnival.
