Physically good as yesterday and again satisfied with me. To control 1 the same mistake as to control 7 yesterday, which was pretty annoying. Then I got in a good flow and could hold that nearly to the finish even though I searched a little bit at control 10. At control 18 I felt physically still good, but on my way to control 19 I got tired in my head and ran not that smart.
It feels good to see where I stand in the Swedish world and that I am already much better than last year.


During the race I hit my left leg which makes the cool down nearly impossible. Therefore no more running today

What a shitty training! The terrain and the course were pretty nice, but I was not able to do a good training out of it. First, I searched every third control, which is a pretty bad quote, and after half of the course I got heavy problems with my stomach, as quite often in my afternoon trainings lately. I will try to find a few good things from this training.
And I'm still tired from tuesday, not really sure why.

Note

This weekend I felt physically really good. During the week I had heavy legs from the training camp, but it was a nice supercompensation. Additionally, I have no problems at all and I'm happy about being able to train well.
After the hiking holidays and the training camp I felt not perfectly in my stomach and intestines, like the body has to put too much energy in the digestion. This is okay for a hiking trip, where we had to optimize the weight of the food, but not for a training camp. I must try to improve that, but first I'm happy that it feels much better now.

special Team-orienteering today. 3 people together had to run ome course, but we had just one SI chip and three different maps (one isohypse, one with green and blue and one with just yellow and stones). In the end I was at every control because I was the strongest in my team, but after half of the course I was pretty happy to one with my team members because I was already quite dissy in my head due to the high speed. Good realy training, at least for me.

Since I did such a bad job yesterday, I decided to run the same course again, slower and with much better orienteering. Of course, it is much easier when you already ran the course a day before, but I felt much better running slower and therefore much safer. I had heavy legs from the training in the morning, but I was still 6:30min faster than yesterday. Quite happy about that and I will try for the next middle distance to run a little bit slower.

Today I had, after quite a while, again a race where I run without using my head (more than 5min mistake-time). It was super fast terrain and I felt pretty good, but this is not how orienteering works. At many controls I had no plan, didn't know exactly where the control stands and because the controls where hard to see, I searched a lot. There are many more bad things to find, but instead of analysing everything now, I will try to remember how orienteering works and try for the next time to do it much better with less speed.

Even though it doesn*t look that bad, my feeling was not that today and I felt quite unsure all the time. Not super happy with my orienteering but surprised that the GPS track looks better than expected. But I think the self-confidence will come back soon.

Amazing little town! The GPS is not that good so maye it is best to look at the map without track. We had one mapflip and one map-change. A few times I chose not the best route, but in general I'm satisfied that my sprint routines are not that bad

Individual start and the speed was a little bit slower than in a competition. But to be honest, I can't really run faster in the tough terrain right now. 3 Intervals with a lot of climbing meters befor the start so that the intervals were mostly downhill.

Note

My hiking trip through Sarek nationalpark is over and I'm tired of mosquitos, walking through mud and sleeping in a tent but it was my best and most special trip I have ever done, with the climb on the Storatoppen of Áhkká as my highlight. We did in 7 days 150km in a tough terrain with quite a few climbing meters. The trekking bag with all the food and everything else was heavy in the beginning and lead to problems with the knees, but got much better in the last 2 days. Tomorrow will I be back in Göteborg and can start training again.
