4hours sleep then up at 5 to watch the men's race.

The headaches I have been waking up with for the last week have been joined by a rather vicious sore throat. Hopefully it stays at that.

And on another note my arches were quite achy and a bit bruised feeling, perhaps from lacing o shoes too tight. Also need to be diligent with stretching and strength as I am increasing training/intensity.

Tiomila 2nd leg with my new club Nolaskogsarna.
I started almost 35mins down after poor Anna had a bit of a disaster on first leg, but went out hard and motivated. I had a really good first 3.5 controls until I lost confidence on a longish vague leg pulling up short and not being able to relocate for almost 8mins!! It was a horrible feeling as the time seemed to pass so fast, and I could picture how had Anna lost so much time.
After that there were a few more minutes of small mistakes and frustrations, perhaps as I was running too hard and was not so well tuned into the 2.5m contours.
I was obviously not happy with my mistakes or time, but I finished feeling happy as it was a great experience and I was pleased to have pushed hard and feel good physically.
15mins behind fastest on my leg.
I need to get more practice orienteering at such high intensity..

Local long distance race in Nacka forest. Took it quite easy as legs a little sore from intervals and need to be fresh on Saturday. Read the map well and am feeling comfortable in Swedish terrain, and the beautiful sunny spring weather! Again didn't love the 1:15000 and compass seemed a bit dodgy. One (stupid) 4min mistake towards the end when I got fed up with the girl following directly behind me so sped up through some green in slightly the wrong direction to lose us both..

Intervals with Fel's running group. Lovely evening on the Islands of Stockholm.
Session was 3 sets of 4x200m w 100jog recovery, 2mins between sets. Most did 4 or 5 sets but my legs were already feeling a bit tired from the start. Looking forward to getting some speed back..

Joined the Julian Dent pool running academy tonight for a mona + 20mins straights and bends. Time went fast with company and entertainment (the other characters at the pool), for my longest pool run ever.
