water running 35:00 intensity: (10:00 @1) + (15:00 @2) + (10:00 @3)

5mins longer than tues, training my tolerence to the boredom of water running 5mins at a time ;) Actually not that bad, pool was quite busy and talked to a few people. 15mins w 10x 40sec hard, 20min with 10x30sec harder and a bit of swimming between.
Counted the seconds assuming cadence of 90. Had to be carreful of knee still. It is still a bit stiff and sore.

swimming 15:00 [1]

Freestyle was ok for knee with mild kicking, except a bit chaotic as there are no lanes in the pool and people were swimming at all sorts of paces in not very straight lines.

riding 40:00 intensity: (20:00 @1) + (15:00 @2) + (5:00 @3)

A very uninspiring shade of grey fog outside toady, just a short ride in my lunch break. I wish I had an inside bike option in this weather.

riding 50:00 [1]

Beautiful calm sunny day, nothing like winter and snow seems a distant memory (i suppose 4degrees is a bit chilly but it all feels the same if you wear the right clothes). So i rode home for lunch a longer way (30mins) and also have a new route to work through the fields which is a bit longer.
Caused knee pain once by pedalling round a corner with slight swist in the leg but it just lasted a few mins.
Still a bit swollen but a bit more flexible and more stable walking.
4x iced and I have been popping 1-2x 600 Ibuprofen per day + green tea

water running 30:00 intensity: (5:00 @2) + (20:00 @3) + (5:00 @4)

First pool running, just cruising about the deep end of a rather small and very warm pool. It felt ok, I had to work reasonably hard to keep afloat without flotation device but also had to be careful not to involve any twisting movement with my knee as it hurt a bit.
Stretched in pool after- I still can't fully straighten or bend/compress the knee.

Schwimmen ohne Beine... streng!

map/mental 10:00 [0]

NZ sprint maps, sprinting takes really different skills and attention. I always miss the big impassable linear features which are kind of important.. Similar to how I often don't see large tracks on bush maps until I'm on top of them, something i have to pay more attention to in Switzerland!
Awesome that Lizzie was 3rd!! on such a tough course and strong field

riding 10:00 [1]

Not so heroic... just a ride to work and not even home again as Tobias got me. Knee feeling stiffer so I tried to do mobile exercises more often.
Its been a week and I think I can start some x training. I tracked down a pool in search of many surrounding towns, not an easy task! This one is in a school and is open for public 2x per week for 2hours at night. Tuesday and thursday pool running days, in 30degree heat!
Ice 3x today

Wish I was running in NZ, the middle looks like so much fun.. My brain was tired after trying to run the mens course in my head.
