orienteering race 1:14:00 [5] 10.5 km (7:03 / km)
slept:8.5 shoes: NB cross country shoes

Easter day 2, Kowen forest. Pushed myself well throughout the whole race. Great course, was very fast but a lot of navigating to be done. Lost 2mins on number 5 and a little bit off on some others. I may have been faster if I had seen some other people out there as it really helps to see people ahead in open fast terrain.
7th 7mins behind Kathryn. I need to get faster for this sort of terrain as its not so tough.

Easter day 1, Gudgenby. Really liked the terrain and was really focused and smooth in the tough first half. Then lost about 4mins in small mistakes over about 5 controls in more open second half. What was I doing?? stopped focusing as well as the second half seemed 'easier' and started to rush- quite annoyed at myself after but learnt from it, good racing practice.

Easter prologue, ADFA. Pretty clean run though lost about 2x20sec on dodgy rc (followed marked route thinking it was compulsary and went wrong way around big thicket at 16). Ran pretty fast in the first part but couldt keep it up till the end.

Bats loop with surges. Felt much better than I have for hte past week and a bit, which is encouraging a few days out from easter. legs a bit tight.

Quick morning run followed by creek dip in the Grampians with Jas before driving back to Melb. Felt quite good, but hard to tell on such a short run. Glad we did it because I missed the monday night run as it was at our house and i was distracted by cooking duties, pudding eating and sangria drinking. mmm
