orienteering race 1:19:17 [5]

Woc trials long, Mt Pearson.
Thought this was a reasonable run but 9mins down on Jo. Didn't start so well because I thought I had forgotten to clear my SI, and lost 30sec on 1. Not totally confident about my RC through the steep legs 3 and 4 and also missed both these controls (1min each). I was trying to remember that there was no easy way but I don't think I pushed hard enough (often don't at the start of classics).
Stopped at 5 for a bit for gel and drink and a whinge with Nick before refocusing better fort the rest of the course. Spiked most after that and was running much more aggressively (it helped that it was down hill). Felt ok finishing so should try to push harder at the start, maybe would've helped to have some other runners around?

orienteering race 18:03 [5]

Woc trials sprint, littlechilds creek.
No happy with this one, felt a bit too hurried from the start and missed 1,2 and 3 then about 1.5mins on number 4. Mostly good after the big error and I felt like my legs had a lot of push through the terrain. I think I started badly by thinking/worrying too much about running fast when it would be better to have a clean run.

orienteering race 34:02 [5]

Woc trials middle, littlechilds creek.
Much better focus on navigation, i felt completely focused on the map and terrain, reading ahead well and knowing when to slow down. Lost about 60secs on no 2 (green was deceptive and my attack wasn't as accurate as I thought) and wasn't really happy with my RC on the long leg (didn't really need to avoid the marshes). I'm still better on the 'technical' legs and not as confident in the vague stuff and was uncertain on the second last leg.
Not thinking much about the physical aspect but I always manage to push well when the terrain is tough. Happy with a win!

Running warm up/down 40:00 [2]

10+10+10+10 before and after each run.

Warm up

orienteering 30:00 [4]

short course with 20 controlls, concentrating on direction exiting controlls, a bit like a sprint. All pretty good, it is openish so I tried to look ahead and around alot, ran moderately fast.
Map was the scout camp in the hills.

orienteering 20:00 [3]

Warmdown course, not so many controlls. tried to look at lots of the surroundings and see what was mapped and what wasnt. Really nice map!

Running 42:00 [4]

6min warm up
3x (4minsapprox 1km) at around race pace I guess with 2mins recovery. Around Wadmore so not a flat or accurate 1km.
20mins warm down (followed 2 firetrucks up the hill but is was dark so I turned around before I saw where the fire was)

Strength 20:00 [1]

swimming 37:00 [2]

Just easy swimming (recovery), 25m laps so I lost count pretty quickly. 7 or so minutes of pool running in the diving pool too.
