Aus Relay, Borhony Ghurk.

Tough day at the end of the week. First leg. Made a couple of mistakes today - bashed in the wrong direction through the green coming out at the campsite on the way to 4 instead of dropping down to the track, then turned the wrong way on the moderate navigation control after the spectator. Ran relatively well/hard - having a few people around at various stages helped.

Aus Long at Chapel Flat, Creswick.

Did not handle the heat well :( Was exhausted on the way to the first control, walked so much of the course and just didn't have the motivation and/or energy to make myself run. Need to do some acclimatisation!

Navigation was pretty ok, mostly because I was going too slow to make mistakes. Big long slog.

Aus Sprint Champs - St Pat's Ballarat.

Unfortunately there was a fault with the results, which recorded both CBs as mp on the same control (coincidentally, neither of us went there).

Up until finding out I'd missed a control, I was happy enough with my run - felt like I was working hard (although still feeling slow), and managing to read ahead a bit. Hard at times to work out where you were meant to go next due to the mass of lines in and out of (and through) controls. Damn.

Prerunning junior girls for Schools Relays. First time I've been to schools champs since school I think.

Happy to just be doing junior girls - the perfect distance. I think I got beaten by a few of them, but they probably hadn't finished numbering maps, got changed and had some breakfast in the last 5mins. Legs felt like rubbish, but it was sooooo lovely out. Really nice to be running early. Perfect day!
