Riding 1:20:00 [3] 25.0 km (3:12 / km)

When you feel like you haven't done enough training for the week, turn down multiple offers of a lift to orienteering and just ride there.

Down Reynard > up the Moonee Ponds Creek > right around the bandicoot fence > Providence Rd.

Was mildly uphill all the way, and with a slight headwind.

Orienteering 40:54 [3] 6.4 km (6:23 / km)

Melbusho at Woodlands.

Highlight was the amazing river red gum at #7. Never really got the legs going, but wasn't blaming them after the ride.

Hadn't planned to go orienteering/forgot it was on/don't always enjoy the Melbusho, but very glad I went. Nice area, and good to have a map in the hand. Thanks to all who put the pressure on to go :)

Riding 1:10:00 [3] 20.0 km (3:30 / km)

So much easier being downhill with a tailwind - who would've thought??

Had a few photo stops at the start, and a lunch break too. Took a short cut, involving Gaffney St up from the creek. Granny-geared it up and still had to get out of the saddle. An ambulance passed me near the top so good to know they had my back.

Running 22:30 [3]

The only training purpose to this run was to hopefully make CB1 less angry that I bailed on Parkrun. Fin still seemed quite disappointed in me.

Riding 15:00 [2]

Running 20:00 [2]

Warm up, drills, run throughs, warm down.

Running 25:00 intensity: (10:00 @2) + (15:00 @4)

2 separate sets tonight (as I bailed on the third).

7 x 200 effort, 100 easy. Legs were really sore (shin muscles on outside) on the track after about the 2nd one, and I seemed to be a lot off the pace. 10'30"

5 x 'cross country' loop of about 450m in the middle of the track. Less off the pace in this bit. I'm an all terrain vehicle. 14'30"
