State League, Bunjil.

Legs weren't feeling too spritely on the way to the start, nor for the rest of the course. Getting shoes full of water didn't help either. Mind wasn't working perfectly either, and had misses on 2, 11 and 16.

Had the watch on auto pause, and it kept on auto pausing on me, just to emphasise how slow I was going.

Note

Naughtily bailed on training, despite instructions from the Bakers.

Felt like I was fighting off a sore throat for a few days and didn't want to spoil it by getting up early and going to Parkrun.

Feeling pretty rotten during the day. I'm hoping it's related to the wind (general, atmospheric wind, not me producing wind), and not my housemate's cough.

Forced myself off the couch and out the door. Ran into a Harriers run around the lake. Not sure which group it was as I only recognised one guy. Felt better once I got started, and got out some frustration.

Warm up.

Running 20:00 intensity: (10:00 @2) + (10:00 @4) 4.07 km (4:55 / km) +7m 4:52 / km

Mona fartlek. Had convinced myself during the day that I would only do the 16 min Clara fartlek, but was feeling better towards the end of the day after a tired patch in the middle.

Intervals went ok. Made it almost as far as usual, and got back to the finish bang on time. So I'm not as unfit as I feel - I think some of it's in my head.

Very sweaty evening out.
