Riding 1:10:00 [3]

Cruisy ride up the Merri, west along the Ring Road, and back down my old route home from work, via Gowrie Station where I stopped to contribute to an art installation.

Orienteering 22:27 [3] 3.8 km (5:54 / km)

Sprint into Spring 2, Ruffey Lake Park.

Not so far off the pace this week :) Still didn't get 60% on CB1 though...

I really need to focus on un-/crossable cliffs - went around one this week that was fine to go up (lost about 15s). Haven't quite got the pace back in my legs, especially on the hills, but getting there. Went hard on the polka dot leg, but Lanita obviously went harder! Bright will either make or break me...

Fairly short warm up and down.

Glutes and hip flexors pretty tight from Tuesday still.

In Geelong last night but was really tired and didn't make it out for a run.

The Danes set a couple of cool little exercises at Darebin Parklands. Wasn't running super fast, but it was quite enjoyable.

Running (pack hike - walking) 43:31 [3] 4.83 km (9:01 / km)

After last year I was a bit afraid of the pack hike test for fire fitness. Made it through, 7s quicker than last year. I find it such a struggle though - my legs just don't move any quicker. Walked with a backpack this year and didn't get blisters like last year (although could feel a hot spot in the last 2 laps) but still pretty uncomfortable.

Smashed out a bit of core, glutes and calves while listening to some Eurovision tunes.
