Running 1:10:00 [3]

Full lap of the res in the drizzle. Got wet feet, which doesn't often happen in Bendigo. Felt ok; legs not too tired (better than expected after yesterday), but a bit weary on the last few hills.

Orienteering 58:11 [3] 6.7 km (8:41 / km)

Bendigo local at Sedgwick.

Legs didn't have it in them today. Got smashed by TvG - just can't beat him in the spur gully. Also got confused on 2-3 thinking I was going from 12. I blame too much night biking last night, and someone moving house at 3am (as in, moving their house, not just the contents). The neighbourhood is being demolished around us - I hope our landlord doesn't get any ideas.

Running 24:00 [4]

MFR Thursday sesh. Longer intervals tonight of ~6 mins with a mix of easy gravel path, track, hill, road.

Legs felt really tired in the warm up, but got going during the intervals. Legs pretty tired again by the end!

Running 31:00 [2]

10' warm up
8' recovery downhill between reps
13' warm down

Rob made a good point about riding home on an empty stomach - absolutely knackered by the time I got home! Took bang on 40 mins.

Riding 2:00:00 [3]

Biking with Baker and Boulange (and Kez) :) I don't reckon these kind of sessions were designed to be done before work.

30' Coburg > Boulevard. 2 x laps of the Boulevard. Then in to work. Died a fair bit on the 2nd lap. Baker was powering along. Bizarre riding in the dark with the hardcore cyclists - nicer once it got light. First time I've done the Boulevard on a road bike, was easier on the purple peril, and would probably be easier still with a normal rear cassette.

Planned this week to be an easier week - I wouldn't class that as easy, but low stress on the leg. Spent the day eating.

Running 37:00 [3]

Creek run (sth from Harding). Passed on aths training as I feel like I need an easier week. And I'm not sure I could cope with an early morning bike with the Cla(i)re Bs of this world after aths.

Unco on the non-concrete side of the creek - it's about a year since I fell over there in the dark, and must be a long time since I once did intervals there without a torch. Might be time to invest in some Ayups.

Steady run, knees felt a bit sore at the start, and inside right shin/calf a bit towards the end. Time to book in a physio to find out my weaknesses.

Note

Just entered Aus Champs (and Oceania). Sooo freaking excited about the wildflowers in Western Australia!!!
