Orienteering 1:17:32 [3] 7.0 km (11:05 / km)

NOL Long Kangaroo Crossing. (Unofficially) my best senior NOL (unofficial) result! Found myself too far right in the large clearing on 1 but made my way down easily from there. Tried to go safely again, which seemed to work. Took the route out to the road to 7, and had time to check out the rest of the course. So excited when I crossed the track between 11 and 12 and realised that the rest of the leg was downhill - I'd been preparing myself for a climb. Bit scrappy at the end.

Went into the race with nothing to lose, and made myself run harder than I sometimes do. Made myself put in a bit of grunt :) Surprised (and a bit stoked) with the (unofficial) result as it still wasn't a clean run, and my legs hadn't been feeling fit during the week.

Orienteering 48:14 [3] 3.4 km (14:11 / km)

NOL Middle Rowdy Flat. After having a race plan to get #1, unlike one other time I ran at Rowdy, I missed it. Got into the map better after that, and took the time to look for safe routes where possible. Got lucky a few times too. Took the wrong track to 13 and botched up the last control after losing contact. Happy with the result.

Run from Kez's. Legs were feeling like lead still. Came back on the short option with Jas. Did a few surges where Jas looked like she was hardly trying and I felt like I was busting a gut :) Warm evening for a change.

Thought there was meant to be a hurling lesson in Brunswick tonight, but couldn't find it. So just cruised home again, and found a couple of parks in Brunny I've never seen before. Legs a bit stiff.

Made it to aths training for the first time in I can't remember how long.

2 x 600m: 2'38, 2'30
3 x 400: 1'38, 1'30, 1'28

Then a couple of laps of easy/striding out.
