Riding 35:00 [2]

Couldn't keep my feet on the pedals on the way home because they were so muddy.

Running (Coburg Bluestone Classic) 1:29:32 [3] 15.0 km (5:58 / km)

3km on the track, 4km out and back down the Merri Crk on the bike path, then...
from their website:
"For the brave, it's back out of the track after a 400 metre loop and onto the brutal Coburg Harriers Cross Country Course, you will cross a small wooden bridge and head toward the Coburg Lake, before the lake you turn right along the rear of the houses through the parkland, the thick grass wants to suck your legs down. Next is a long climb to the top of Kodak hill, no time for views here, on along the fence line, the track is sloped the weak or unweary may slip here. At this stage you are thinking, great ... done enough when do I head back to the track.

Not yet! You now proceed down and under the Kodak bridge and up the most brutal of hills, a leg breaker, (ignore the memorials to failed attempts on left) you have got to lean forward and just work - keep a bit in reserve however. Once at the top it's a small circuit around and back under the Kodak bridge across a small wooden bridge and around a power pylon and more hills up to behind the Harold Stevens Athletic Centre Track, it's a cruel sight seeing the 7KM finishers relaxing back talking about their efforts.

On you go back into the track and guess what? You have to do it all again!"

Vague splits:
3km - 15'40
5km - 28'00
7km - 41'00
11km - 1hr05'
15km - 1hr29'32

Decided to get all my training for the weekend done in one go :) Legs were absolutely caning during the 3km and was shuffling along the bike path. Shins were really really sore. Didn't get any worse on the first 4km loop, but improved for the second one and passed 2 people :) Would have been even quicker if it had have been further ;)

Walking may be a struggle tomorrow! But it's a study day anyway :)

Did one exam, now got to start on my take-home/study for the next one. Good times.

Note
(rest day)

Study day. Hurrah.

Note

Tried to teach myself to bunny hop on my bike but can't get the back wheel off the ground. Then remembered I didn't want to sprain anything before an exam.

Riding 30:00 [2]

Running warm up/down 27:00 [2]

Bad idea. Legs didn't feel too bad in the warm up but were really tight and sore by the end of the warm down.

Running hills 5:00 [4]

6 x Jones. Seeing as though my ankles were feeling a bit better went and did hill ints in the dark. Smart. Felt sick most of the day, probably study-induced. Feel even worse after the crap I cooked for tea.

Note

Just trying to decide what orienteering to do in Europe. There's too much on, can't choose.

But the accommodation options for the East Bohemia Cup may have made up my mind...

"We can offer comfortable and pleasurable rear for your satisfied summer holiday."

Note
(rest day)

Study day. Closest I came to exercise was walking to the letterbox. Sick of seeing trams go past alllll day.

Orienteering race 1:15:00 [3]

C variation. Awesome course. Was navigating for most of it. Caught the Jim-train for 1 control and got led in completely the wrong direction. Probably could have gone faster if I hadn't have been wearing Dad's o pants that I found in my drawer.

Note

Everything hurts. Well, every muscle lower down than my shoulders. I don't think my ankles liked 3 days at Kooyoora that much. But I did so they can just get over it :P
