Orienteering race (Long) 1:14:20 [3] 6.5 km (11:26 / km)

I just couldn't hack it today. Walked so much, had a few little navigational errors, and generally just wasn't tough enough. All Vic Champs should either be in Winter, or have an dam adjacent to the finish. Swim went down a treat after.

Orienteering race (Middle) 43:20 [3] 4.0 km (10:50 / km)

Navigation was ok, just felt the effects of my extensive tapering over the last few months and the heat.

Running 30:00 [2]

Felt like absolute crap. Started off feeling ok and legs were good. Had the idea to do a short interval session, did a few 200m reps. Gave up after 4 and had a stretch. Went the rest of the way round Prinny, but had to stop for another stretch because I was having serious difficulty putting one leg in front of the other. They felt soo tight and heavy and bad. Oh well, it's only the Vic Champs.

Running intervals 5:30 [4] 1.2 km (4:35 / km)

Hmmm...maybe I went too hard, or hadn't eaten enough...??? Actually, looking at the k rate I think I definitely went way too hard...I didn't know I went that quick and that includes recovery time, which also wasn't long enough.

Hands up who's afraid of the big bad Melbourne Model...
