Orienteering race (Carroll's Spring) 1:02:18 [3] 6.3 km (9:53 / km)

Steep :-(
I met Moira at 2, Aislinn at 3, Dad at 5 and was with them for the rest of the course. Probably would have tried less if I had have been alone.

Navigation was pretty easy; wasn't really that clean though... looking 1 gully early for 4, just ran past 8 a bit, got a bit confused leaving 8 getting across the creek (didn't get my feet wet, but found lots of blackberries).

Found it really tough physically, especially the 18 contour leg to the 2nd last control. Finally under 10mins a k though, it's been a while! Still, should have been much quicker :-)

Orienteering race (Mars Bar cup) 45:00 [3] 4.3 km (10:28 / km)

Ran/ walked really slowly...I am sooooooo unfit it's scary ;-)
Scatter-o and the optimum route was meant to be 4.6km...obviously I cheated.

Riding 42:00 [2] 12.3 km (3:25 / km)

Went for a really easy ride around Prinny and Royal Park. Legs felt a bit heavy on the uphills, and knees were a bit sore for some reason. I hadn't planned to go, but otherwise wouldn't have been able to get any training in before the weekend. I was glad I went, because it was nice out after the rain, not many other people out.

Note

Can't really say I'm Tuesday's biggest fan...

Still no training to enter. My legs have been feeling tired since last weekend, and I don't know if training will make it better or worse. Even just walking between classes they get tired. So I'm taking the lazy option. I'm not game to run, as I can sometimes feel a niggle of shin splints just walking, but maybe a ride would be ok...tomorrow perhaps.
