Was much happier today :-) I ran really conservatively a) because I am not really fit, and b) to keep map contact. I probably checked off too many things on the way to controls that could have been ignored, but I got a bit of confidence by not getting lost!
Missed 2 a bit; was looking for a spur instead of gully I think. Got a bit waylaid on the way to 10; didn't check compass carefully enough and got pushed around by the green.
Didn't twist my ankle today :-) but have blistered feet after the two races :-(

Found 1 ok, then took was waaay off on 2...about 400m too far down a gully, wacky compass work and not having a first point of contact leaving the control! Was a bit annoyed after, so to make myself concentrate I turned my race into weird-o, and talked to myself out loud. Kept me focussed till 9, when I was too buggered to talk! Was too high on 9, then ran too far on a track on the way to 10...I think I relaxed thinking it would be obvious where to leave. Was ok for the rest.
Just got so tired on the way to 8, still had 2 climbs to go...not happy Jan.
Still, I was happy with the middle section, some route choices were a little wide, just because I wanted to be in contact with big things, but at least I knew where I was.

Went for a really easy ride around Royal Park to get my legs turning over before the weekend. Was only going to go for about 35-40 mins, but got carried away with myself. Looking forward to Kooyoora, but don't expect to be running that quickly.

In a shit mood...tired and stressed with uni. So went for a ride and took it out on David. I still maintain it was his fault for trying to make me ride down a dangerously steep hill into the Yarra.
Definitely overdid it last night at spinning, I was absolutely knackered after about 55 mins today.
No training tomorrow :-)

Gym warm up/down (Spin class) 30:00 [2]

Got in early and had a 20min warm up, then 5 with the class, 5 min warm down and stretches at the end

Gym intervals (Spin class) 35:00 [4]

Is a purple face afterwards a sign of overexertion? Went pretty hard this session, hit the wall after about 30mins but made myself keep going. Did hills, 2 different sets of intervals and more hills. Great fun...and sweat central :-)
