Feeling slightly substandard, so just rolled the legs over on the road bike. Got a sore knee at one point going up Diamond Hill, and my mystery sore wrist is still mysteriously sore.

Orienteering 54:16 [3]

Found a Twilight 1 hr map from 2012 that Dad had conveniently set to start next door. Ran around and got the northern controls (dropped the 7 most southerly ones). Felt I'd better make the most of the map at the doorstep while I'm in Bendigo.

Christmas jog, with Dave "run-along-now-and-I'll-just-powerwalk-beside-you" for the first 13 mins. Up Red Box, over DH and back along the creek. Merry Christmas!

Orienteering 43:00 [3]

Tipperary Gully training. Couldn't find the start, twice. Never found the first couple of controls, but got into the groove a bit after that. Very slow though.

Tannery Lane-Junourton loop. Forgot to look at my watch when I left. Legs were feeling ok when I left, but after the turnaround began to feel like I hadn't trained all week. Also need a new seat, because the current one is quite painful.

Juvenile, going out Mandurang Rd. Felt like I was moving fairly slowly, but I think that's the quickest Juve ever. Struggled a bit on the hills. Bike needs a service.

Dragon boating 45:00 [3]

Had an ex-mayor on board for the first 2 laps. With 16 people paddling, things felt a lot easier than usual Tuesday training. Felt ok paddling, and my super-sore hand yesterday wasn't twinging any more :)

Same run as last week. Ausfeldii, res fence, back of DH, over the top and back along Red Box. Also added an extra loop at the end for a few extra mins.

Running late after arriving back from Echuca (should have taken my running gear and gone for a jog along the river) but the boat came back to the dock to pick me up. Was a bit unbalanced so hard work paddling.

And some more riding: Kensington > Coburg, Coburg > Spencer St, Bendigo stn > home.

Novelty-o at the club break up. Really wasn't reading the map and found some controls I wasn't meant to. Picked up a few control afterwards. Legs were knackered too. Not enough sleep and too much riding!

Roll on the roadie. Out Tanners, Ryalls Lane, straight along Junourton Rd to Trotting Terrace and back up the hill, Crook St, home. Running short of time, and thought it would be a quicker loop than this. Felt ok riding.

Then did some more riding: Home > Bgo station, Heidelberg > Coburg, Coburg > Kensington.

Went out for a run after getting back from Melbourne. Life in the region is much harder than policy work - hardly left the office when I was in Melbourne! Legs weren't feeling that great at the start, but got going a little. Across to Ausfeldii Drv, res, over DH and back along Red Box Track.

Dragon boating 35:00 [3]

Bit hot. Stroking again. I don't think I've made it past about bench 8 in Melbourne, so sitting at the front is a bit weird. Felt like I was paddling ok, especially on the left. Not many people in the boat so we just did 4 laps at the same pace. I tried to put a bit of effort in at times.

Orienteering 16:51 [3] 3.25 km (5:11 / km)

Vic Sprint Champs, Ballarat Grammar. Best run of the weekend. Quite enjoyed it, and the legs even felt relatively fresh towards the end (compared to the other races). Still a bit hesitant on the tricky controls, and wasn't really reading the control location in the circle that well. Almost took out Aislinn on the way to 5 - could have scored a place.

Tiny warm up, and a bit of a warm down running through some controls with Clare, Rob and Brooner (although I didn't take my map...).
