4 laps of a 'track' on the oval.

Felt good for the first 2 but a bit off in the guts for the 3rd.

2 x 9'30" around a rectangle on an oval. Long sides harder, quite slow on the short sides. Legs weren't feeling it tonight.

Candlebark Park. A trek to the eastern suburbs. It's a bit different out there to Coburg. Didn't make any mistakes, but my legs really didn't want to go any faster.

Kayaking (dragon boating) 45:00 [3]

Wasn't raining at the start which meant I actually went. Did some intervals. I was ok when we were going slowly and concentrating on technique, but I really struggle to keep up when the rate speeds up.

Orienteering 22:00 [3] 3.1 km (7:06 / km)

Princes Park/Hill sprint training. Bit weird running through the housing commission flats. Ankle got a bit sore at the end and legs had no zing. Good training. I think I need to focus more on reading the map/reading ahead.

Another good course. Pretty stuffed by the end.

Only time for a short job between work and trivia (we came second - an improvement on our last place the time before).

Took a STB map but it was a bit dark. My imaginary orienteering got more vague - my attackpoints were 'that stuff there' - and at the end I just had to decide to run on compass :)

Harding St, creek, lap of the lake and home through Pentridge. Had to stop for a little after 30 mins when breakfast wasn't sitting right. Legs good at the start, then faded.

Orienteering (Kooyoora) 1:08:41 [3] 6.1 km (11:16 / km)

Really enjoyed the run/course (except one bit when I was at the top of an eyelash cliff and could just see eerie fog).

Thought I hadn't run too badly, but looking back at my map (and Toph's GPS) I think I was running a bit all over the place. Took me 2/3 of the long leg to work out where I was. Went off the hill at the wrong angle to 9 and ended up on the big eyelash cliff below the control. Had another section from 11-12 where I didn't know where I was. I was quite stop-start in the detail.

Overnight in Daylesford for work - Tuesday is intervals night so did some intervals. Took advantage of there being more hills in Daylesford than Coburg. Longish warm up with a few run throughs at the end.

3 x 90s up, recovery on the way down
3 x 60s up, recovery on the way down

Struggled on hills lately at orienteering.

Well that was a very slow run. Didn't do anything yesterday, because I felt pretty tired. Felt more awake today but forgot to pass the message on to my legs! Up and around Edgars Creek with the 2nd day map from NZ -much easier to read than the first day. Did a few hill reps at the end: 2 up Kodak/Heartbreak hill and 1 up rabbit hill.

We were on the water for about an hour - never really looked at my watch before. Did some intervals: 30 strokes on, 30 on, 60 on, 30on, 30 on with 10 off in between.

Feeling a bit knackered now.

Warm up, drills, not much of a warm down.

3 up and backs on the bike path, about 30s break between them.

2 mins on, 1 min off for 12 mins. I thought we were done, but then we had to do another 9 mins. Wasn't happy about having to go again, but it was probably good. No fast girls have been going to training lately, so I have to try and stick it to the boys.
