Running pretty slowly because I had my day 1 Oringen map. Still think my technique of 'try and find things to relocate off in the general direction' wasn't too bad, although I could make slightly more sense of it now that I know what a marsh looks like.

Pre breakfast run went better due to 1/2 a hot cross bun beforehand.

Went well for the first 10 mins then became a struggle after that. Down Merri Crk to Rushall, to Edinburgh Gardens, down Napier to Moor St and across to the Museum, back up Canning St. Canning St was sooo green and soft.

Calves got really tight again...they stiffened up on Friday arvo after the street o, were better by this morning, then got tight again running.

Oh how I would have preferred to be at the Baden-Wuerttemberg relay champs. Instead went for a run up the creek at 8pm when it was still over 30°.

Street O at Northcote. Doubled the usual number of Bendigo runners. Enjoyed it more than I was expecting to...shins were hurting after about 10 mins, then got better. Did a kind of interval session that Gundelfingen was meant to do on Tuesday (modified because I don't have seconds on my watch):
15' wu, 1 on (1 off) 2 (1) 3 (2) 4 (2) 4 (2) 3 (2) 2 (1) 1, warm down to the finish (once I found it, thought I would be able to see it once I climbed up the hill behind it)

8am run. Legs have no zip. My stomach was complaining after about 18 mins that I hadn't had breakfast. Couldn't even run all the way home.

Good work. Rolled my ankle a few times at the weekend so decided to go for a ride and scrape the back of my leg instead. At least it was the same leg, now it hurts in 2 places instead of 1 :)

Orienteering 34:31 [3] 3.3 km (10:28 / km)

Sprint race. Spent 6 seconds sledging Liggo and got beaten by Aislinn by 5. Them's the breaks. I was tired and blistered. Good course though.

Orienteering 57:23 [3] 5.8 km (9:54 / km)

Was feeling good at the start when it was all downhill. Felt less good when it started going up. Navigation was ok, just a little slow. Enjoyed it, I like Australian forest, especially Dalyesford.

Nowhere near as good as Gundelfingen training in the Black Forest :( By myself up the Merri Crk to Jones Hill in the dust on the hard ground.
