Juvey, headwind on the way out slowed me down a bit (took 50 mins to get out to Springs Rd), but was nice heading home. Got pipped by a blonde girl for KOM points when she suddenly appeared powering up a hill next to me.

Today the choice to do B course really paid off :) Legs felt like they had nothing in them again, so just plodded along steadily. Had a case of old man syndrome, except this time I was the old man/tortoise and I watched Warwick, Nigel and Neil make mistakes in front of me (although Warwick must have redeemed himself after that). Tried to put in a bit of effort towards then end when I saw Isabelle, and then later Nigel and Neil.

Good start location next to the dam. Thanks for organising the last 2 days Jim!!

Koolamurt Sprint race. Struggled on the way up the hill to the first control. Too hot. I should do B course more often.

Tanners, Junortoun loop. Didn't go hard, until the cemetery - then just tried to stop my average speed dropping up the hill to home. Success.

A bit depressing and scary - depressing because I'm so bad on the bike, and scary because I'm so bad on the bike :( Had me wondering for a while there why I even bothered bringing the bike back :( I think my best riding days are behind me - now I'm way too scared to go downhill...

Up Diamond Hill, then down to Kangaroo Gully Rd, back via Holidays Rd and through the Spring Gully map.

Sunset ride. Started out Tanners way then went the whole way along Ryalls Lane and back past Strath Village. Found the new KFC. My legs don't like hills... Spent a bit of the time getting pissed off by drivers.

Plodded around at the Chicken and Champagne. Mostly walked, wasn't feeling that well but glad I decided to go. Only ran a little bit and wasn't really looking at the map so probably shouldn't be logging...

David's motivational speech for the day: "are you going to let that old guy go past you?" Unfortunately the old guy was already a fair way up the road at this stage.

Tannery Lane loop, struggled a bit as per usual. Owned the McIvor hill though.

What happened there? Maybe the fact that Dad did the same run on Monday in 31 mins sparked something in my subconscious. Legs pretty wrecked afterwards! Nice cool evening :)
