Orienteering 1:35:10 [3] 10.2 km (9:20 / km)

Bendigo To-day hagaby, One Tree Hill. Not the cleanest run - was having a lot of trouble actually finding the controls once I was in the general vicinity. Legs were feeling ok. Thought it was going to be game on to the finish from 17 when I found Clare, but it wasn't to be. Lost a lot of time on 18 - I must have been close to the control, but didn't quite find it. Beaut morning for it.

Bendigo To-day sprint, LTUB. Well, that felt further than 3.4 km! Felt great when I picked up the map and started running - good to be back in the forest. Was feeling in control for the first controls in the forest and residences, but felt like I was navigating a bit slow once it got really tricky in the buildings. Really good complex course!

6 x sprintervals at Princes Hill thanks to Jas (based on Fredrik's courses). Legs slowly started to die. Especially at the end of the 3rd interval. Great training though, and a big group tonight!

First ever Parkrun :) Thanks to Clare for the motivation (both in getting there, and on the course!). I got a bit stuck behind people at the start, but it was probably ok to stop me going out too hard. The slog back in the sun was pretty tough, and I slowly got closer to Clare, but she picked up at the end when I had nothing. Good race though :)

Sprintervals in Carlton Gardens set by Todd. Pretty hot out - legs weren't really feeling it. Probably should have warmed up.

Legs felt really jelly-like after 1 lap of warm up, but were feeling better by the end of the session.

2 x 600m, with 200m easy, mod and hard, 6.20
4 x 400m with lots of recovery - the first 2 didn't feel great: 1.48, 1.48. 1.46, 1.42
4 x 300m with lots of recovery - felt the best I had all night: 1.23, 1.19, 1.16, 1.14

Lucky I was in Melbourne rather than the 'Go/'Rat or I would have cooked.

Up Merri Crk, east along the M80 path, and back down the Darebin Crk. That was the plan, although at one stage I got north and south confused, did a big extra loop in Bundoora Park, rode to the top of Mt Cooper, saw the path I thought I wanted to take on the other side of the creek (which in hindsight was probably the way I'd come), then turned around and saw the city in the other direction. Still, quite interesting exploring the park. There was a truck/car show there.

Nice morning out. Found some nice spots along the creeks.

No apparent lasting effects of the alp-titude training :( Run down to Moreland Rd, 10 mins hard back up the creek and home via Harding St.
