Running 1:00:00 [2]

Up at Stags Head all day taping control locations etc. Discovered that the feature that I had planned to have a pivot control on for all courses now doesn't exsist... what an arse. The map is also just about on its last legs for reliability... but think the courses should be alright, even though some whinging will be inevitable.
Probably managed an hours worth of something resembling training while there.

Note

Emma tricked me into playing bejeweled instead of the planned run we were meant to do...

Running (Tour de Hobart) 43:00 [2] 7.22 km (5:57 / km) +120m 5:30 / km
ahr:126 max:160 shoes: Brooks Trance 6

Cruisy Tour with a small turnout... even my nice short route wasn't good enough to entice people out after easter. Stacked the layers on since I was starting to feel better today and didn't wanna get worse again, but was quite nice to be out running. Even managed a few sprints to beat Patrick :)

Orienteering race (NOL Livelys Bog) 55:00 intensity: (15:00 @1) + (40:00 @4) 9.0 km (6:07 / km)
ahr:143 max:176 shoes: VJ Falcons

Was starting to feel a bit strange the night before, and woke up feeling like crap. Sore, swollen glands, no energy and really congested in the head. Was trying to get motivated for the race, but it just wasn't happening (as Patty heard several times on the car trip out).
Felt slow running, and not really thinking or caring. Found myself even doing strange things like walking out of a control folding my map so it looked nice for the next leg. Didn't make any errors, but wasn't surprised when Blair caught me up fairly early in the course. Thought that running with Blair would get me back into it a bit, but only lasted a few controls when i hit my foot on a rock again going to 8. With a sore foot and absolutely no heart left in it, decided it really wasn't worth the effort and walked back.
