Quick cruise to loosen up my legs... which were quite sore. Especially down the side of my calfs after running along the side of so many hills.

No real complaints about the run considering the heat.. was happy to get around. Had the flatter loop first, started the first couple of legs really well... but then started to lose time at a few controls over the second half of the loop. Was happy to never completely hit the wall in the second loop, even tho it was pretty tough on some of the hills in the sun. Went over on my ankle again going downhill to 25, but kept going for a while and after a minute or two I managed to run it off. Still need to have more confidence and concentration in the long races.

First leg of relay. Ran past the first one, but other than that the first section up the river was ok. Had to rip off my heart rate strap after 10 mins cause it was sliding down too much. Lasted until the 6th or 7th control until a blew up in the heat... the rest of it was a walk/run and a bit of a struggle. Pity cause I felt alright in terms of energy, fitness and navigation... it was just too damn hot for me!

Run from home around the back of Single Hill to Seven Mile and home again via Saxon Drive. Mostly on tracks and tried to keep to the grass on most of the road sections. Been a while since I've done a run like this around home... they used to make up a fair bit of my training.
Felt pretty good the whole run, and kept a consistent steady pace for most of it. Felt alright on the hills too... so maybe I'm slightly fitter than I thought. Still need to concentrate a lot of quality up to Easter and during the middle of the year... and also consistency.

Run with Emma from Kangaroo Bay around to the bridge. Did a few moderate 1.5' efforts during for something different... all were smack on 3:30min/k which was surprisingly consistent.

Fairly uninteresting training at the moment... haven't had the energy or motivation for the past few days, made even worse with a knee that won't work properly atm. At least finally the knee is healing. Looking forward to this weekend to get me going again...
