running on trails in the royal national park. heaps of blokes out on mtb's today (including my old man). ran 5 x 2min efforts with a 3min jog recover. keeping the efforts at around 3min/km. had a 4min recovery after one of them cause the track was so muddy and slippery i decided not to risk taking a stack.

cruisy ride with Cowie. started out on a Scotsman but continued along Mulligans Flat Rd instead of turning onto Tallagandra Lane East. It turns to dirt right away and stayed that way for about 5.5km until we hit the Gundaroo Rd, we turned left and went along there to Shingle Hill Way then went up there to the old Roger Federer Highway and finished off by going out to Lake Boy George and back. I got the dizzy hungries about when we hit the "new" highway on the way back so had to stop at Eagle Hawk servo for a consultation with the black doctor. of course, a bottle of coke cost $4.20 but a coke and cherry ripe cost $4.50, so I got that, and won a free cherry ripe so ended up powering down 2 cherry ripes and a coke. No probs riding home after that!

on the way to work ran 12 x 2min efforts with 1min jog recovery. heart rate was pretty low even though i felt i was going fairly hard, prob tired from the run last night.

is anyone else nerdy enough to work out when to start and stop each interval using modular arithmetic (ie remainder following division)? eg for todays session: if time=t start running fast when mod(t,3)==0 and stop when mod(t,3)==2. or do you just take a split at the start/finish of each effort...

at the ACTAS Gyme. mostly theraband and bodyweight stuff, don't touch real weights these days. did some work on the back which made it feel a bit better... saw cathy after too, apparently i got a L1/2 facet joint sprain. should be able to get on top of it soon.
