5 x 1km ints at about 5km race speed with 2min jog recovery on the grass track at Dicko with bwisbey. Times were a bit slow - the track is bloody rough as, with a hill, and i wasnt feeling super. 3.15, 3.14, 3.13, 3.14 and 3.11.

i had the special porridge at tilleys after, with camp maple syrup, pistachios and king island double cream. f*ck me it was awesome.

Cruisy run with bwisbey on trails around Kaleen, N. Lyneham & Bruce Ridges and Black Mtn. Nice day to be out running, and some illy espresso beforehand made it nice and easy.

2 x 30min efforts at about race intensity with a 5min jog recovery, in terrain on Black Mtn and Bruce Ridge. Did a lot of zig-zagging through the big erosion gullies near rani rd. hr was real low but i was running reasonably hard.

Easy run with Warlders around North Lyneham Ridge. Feeling fine but a bit tired. Pancakes with maple syrup earlier in the day ensured i could handle everything warlders threw at me.

well i got up and saw it was wet and went back to bed. then i got an sms from kez saying its on, so i had to get up again. turned out being ok, bit wet on the road but the rain stayed away. just cruised around a short version of the pete with kez and jules. coffee at deli karl marx made it all worthwhile.

10 x 300m @ 3km race pace with 100m jog rec on the grass "track" at Dickson. not feeling great, my depth perception is all messed up by my third eye. but i pushed out the session we'd planned so i'm happy with that... i've been on the edge of getting sick again - i was sick all week in dubbo - but hopefully i keep it away.

Cruise around the tour de pete incl down to the water treatment plant near uriarra crossing, then met kez and rolled around the lake with a stop for a few espressos and raisin toast at double shot in deakin. cold but a super day to be out on the bike.

1 x 12min, 3min rec and 1 x 6min effort with chalker around loop in southwell park and yowani golf course. -1 degree and lots of crunchy frost on the ground, but sunny and nice. not feeling great but, still tired from last week i reckon. ave (max) hr: 152 (169 and 164 (174).

In some forest in the middle of nowhere, why did they have it there... i wasnt feeling real motivated and wasnt thinking about orienteering at all. and it showed, pretty much just cruised around, made some mistakes and ambled on into the finish. felt pretty ordinary too, prob should have had some beers after the long race yesterday.

Ran real good, prob my best race of the year i reckon. made a couple of small mistakes but pushed hard in the beginning and held it together in the end, although i slowed down quite a bit. my breathing was definitely better than it has been, but my mind was elsewhere for most of the race and the night before wasnt ideal preparation - so i am real happy with how it went. shame it wasnt a bit longer...

easy jog with jo along the macquarie river in dubbo, with 4 x 30secs efforts with 2min jog recovery towards the end. cold as.

i felt like a tradie as i sank a fair bit of vb at the banquet. woke up feeling pretty seedy in the night but a berocca put out the fire.

2 x 8mins efforts with a 2min jog recovery on roads around dubbo zoo, with tdh and uncle jim. couldnt hang on to the young fella. got a cold but was still feeling ok, right hamstring still pretty tight but. ints were mostly uphill, which was fine for me - the downhills are the bits that kill my hamstrings.

unfortunately there were no monkeys on this run, and tdh didnt even do the monkey warm up with the banana pickup. slacker.

Ran the JWOC sprint to check the SI units were working. ran solid but not fast, real wet, cold and slippery. definitely feeling yesterdays race in the legs, especially the hamstrings.

Cruisy run with NSW Stinger on trails around the Ridges and Black Mtn. Cold and windy, but at least it wasnt raining (postponed the run from the morning when it was p*ssing down). felt fairly good but got pretty hungry.

Awesome run from our accommodation near Evans Lookout at Blackheath along the clifftop to Govetts leap, then some trails into Blackheath, around Centennial Glen and Fort Rock and back to an awesome hot buffet breakfast by an open fireplace...

walked about 2.5 hours through the Grand Canyon near Blackheath, what an awesome place.
