cruisy run with wisbey around red hill and davo's and over hindmarsh to run in isaacs (real nice over there, aint been running there for ages - last time was prob with Axe in 2005!!). starting to get my fooit under control, some drugs and some exercies/manipulation of my cuboid. feeling good.

easy run to work from hughes with some extra on red hill. rainy and thunderstorming, but still warm. left foot was so sore i could barely put any weight on it tis morn. was ok by the end, but an hour later i could barely walk again... time to google and look at my old training diaries (i had this same problem with my cuboid in 1999).

at Kangaroo Crossing. i think this is the first time i've raced here (trained a couple of times as a junior). started ok, went safe to the first and caught Kez there. was glad to have company and stayed with him all the way from there... but he dropped me going to the last - cheeky Kez ;) ran ok for the first half or so (5 controls) but got tired and very messy later on (the last 15 controls)... disappointing. happy to have lasted the distance and kept the pace steady but. the knees were really sore downhills, need some treatment on my back/glutes asap. finished about 2mins down on robw, and very close to nsw stinger and keely so i'm feeling pretty positive despite not doing any orienteering since woc trials.

At Rowdy Flat, awesome area. started ok, tricky first control so i was glad to see it. made quite a lot of small mistakes, and a bigger one on 12 and again at 14 (tried to keep that one safe by running on tracks but they were even more difficult than the forest to read/follow!). didn't have a lot of confidence either, but that map is so hard that everyone feels like that... came away with the win anyway so it could have been worse.

cruisy run from lyno shops to hughes over the ridges, black mtn, aranda hill, cork oaks, green hills, over scrivener and up the bike path through curtin. some dirt, some terrain and some bike path. felt ok, the legs were a bit sore from yestie but mostly good.

i accidentally saw some of the horse-"sports" at the paralympics... now i'm no expert, but those horses didn't look disabled.
